Casa Belinda is a semi-detached stone house spread over two levels. Wherever possible, the property's stone tile flooring, exposed stone walls, and original wooden beams have been left to speak for themselves, giving guests a real feel for the dwelling's architectural heritage.

The main entrance takes one into a welcoming, open-plan dining area and kitchen, with the mixture of cheerful red kitchen cabinets and antique solid wood furniture setting the tone for the rest of the house. Behind the dining table, you’ll find the lounge area and the ground floor bathroom, complete with a bathtub shower.

A staircase to the right leads you upstairs, where you’ll find the bedrooms, two doubles and a twin, and a further bathroom.

Life at Casa Belinda is meant to be spent outdoors. The simple, cosy indoor living areas spill out onto a spacious courtyard terrace. Fully furnished for relaxing, eating, reclining, and cooking (courtesy of the barbecue and sink), the terrace is where you will spend most of your time. The balcony terrace is also a wonderful spot for morning coffee, from where the views across the village rooftops out to the sea are magnetic.

The Area

Casa Belinda is in the heart of Vrboska. Termed 'Little Venice', this fishing village is renowned for its charming stone bridges, idyllic waterfront, and rich history dating back to the Venetian era.

Vrboska, often referred to as Little Venice due to its picturesque canal, is a charming former fishing village nestled on Hvar's northern coast. Vrboska retains its ancient charm with its Dalmatian stone houses, elegant bridges, and a serene harbour opening to the Adriatic Sea. The village is alive with waterfront restaurants, cafe bars, and cultural landmarks such as the Fortress Church of St. Mary, adding depth to its tranquil ambiance.Accessing Vrboska involves first travelling to Hvar Island, either as a pedestrian, with a car, or by boat. Visitors without a car can easily reach Vrboska via taxi from Stari Grad port, or from the further ports of Hvar Town and Jelsa, while those with a car can take car ferries to Stari Grad or Sućuraj, depending on their point of departure on Croatia's mainland. Yacht and sailboat enthusiasts can dock at the deep marina, enjoying the scenic bay reminiscent of a fjord, steeped in maritime history.

Vrboska offers a range of activities, from exploring nearby beaches like Soline and Paklena to engaging in water sports, cycling around Stari Grad Plain (a UNESCO World Heritage Site), or taking day trips to Bol on Brač Island. Cultural enthusiasts can visit historic landmarks such as the Fortress of St. Mary, Church of St. Lawrence, and the Fishermen’s Museum, while wine enthusiasts can indulge in tastings at the local winery, Pinjata.Dining in Vrboska is a treat with options like Škojić for huge pizza and fresh seafood, Mediteran for gourmet Mediterranean cuisine, and Ružmarin for traditional Dalmatian dishes. Evenings in Vrboska are laidback, ideal for enjoying a glass of local wine by the sea. That being said, Luda Koka is a nightclub on Vrboska's outskirts, offering a mix of disco and late-night entertainment, catering particularly to younger visitors seeking a livelier atmosphere.

“A beautiful house in a lovely spot. Traditional style with great sized rooms, and very well equipped. A stunning private garden area with bbq and outdoor kitchen. In a really quite spot, but a few steps down to the harbour and water front where there is an excellent range of eateries, and shops. Easy walking to stunning beaches. We had a truly wonderful time and will definitely return.”

Island Experiences

No visit to Hvar is complete without dedicating some time to pure enjoyment on the Adriatic. Cruise in luxury aboard a private mini yacht, rent your own boat for leisurely exploration, or dive right in with snorkelling, kayaking, windsurfing, or scuba diving.

Indulging in Hvar’s vibrant culinary scene is not to be missed. From in-villa chefs to private cooking lessons, to olive oil tastings and hilltop farm-to-table dinners overlooking the sunset, our array of gastronomic experiences invites you to savour the taste of the island's cuisine.

Adrenaline enthusiasts need look no further. Few adventures are as thrilling as rock climbing up the south side’s limestone cliffs, cycling through rugged black pine forest up to Hvar’s highest point, or quad bike touring through the island’s labyrinth of hidden gravel roads.

Despite storied history dating back millennia, Hvar's wines remain a rarity outside of Croatia. Winemaking is an intrinsic part of life here, just as it is throughout the Mediterranean. Enjoy tasting experiences in the winemaker’s company, where passion and authenticity converge in every sip.

Our in-villa wellness specialists offer a host of holistic treatments including massage, reflexology, and sound therapy. Restore balance with private yoga sessions on your terrace, or keep fit whilst on holiday under the guidance of our personal trainer with bespoke fitness sessions.

Time goes by, but the essence of Hvar’s rich past still lingers. The in-depth knowledge of our expert guides brings life to the island’s historic old towns, quaint fishing villages, and UNESCO heritage sites, ensuring a truly immersive exploration of its past.
