The open-concept living area faces the sea and has myriad seating and lounging options from which to drink in the awe-inspiring vistas in every direction. The house is brimming with designer furnishings throughout, with perfectly coordinated colours and materials selected for each of the 600 interior square metres.
The sleeping quarters consist of four ensuite bedrooms, each with a super king bed, and each with glass doors opening directly onto a patio area with lounge seats. The Glass Tree House is a truly rare opportunity for those who appreciate untouched, untamed nature with a touch of luxury.
*We use the term 'private beach' to emphasise the exclusive accessibility and secluded location of the beach near The Glass Tree House. Legally, private beaches cannot exist in Croatia, but due to its location, the beach next to this property creates a peaceful beach experience without crowds, in a more intimate setting than you will find elsewhere on the island.

The Area
The Glass Tree House is hidden on its own tiny peninsula of pristine pine forest on Hvar's northern coast in a bay neighbouring the village of Basina.
Basina is a serene cove on the northern side of Hvar Island, situated midway between the towns of Stari Grad and Jelsa. It offers a peaceful retreat surrounded by dense pine forests, olive trees, grapevines, and lavender fields. The bay itself is protected from summer winds, ensuring calm and crystal-clear waters. This picturesque setting, along with neighboring coves Mudri Dolac and Rosohotnica, makes Basina an ideal spot for families seeking a memorable, kid-friendly holiday.Getting to Basina involves a short drive on smooth asphalt roads from any of the nearby towns: 4 kilometres from Vrboska, 6 kilometres from Jelsa, and 8 kilometres from Stari Grad. Despite its secluded feel, Basina's convenient location close to these towns means you're never far from essential amenities and some of the island’s best dining establishments.
Once in Basina, many visitors indulge in the local practice of 'fjaka', similar to a siesta, but may include other forms of pleasurable idleness. The bay’s natural beauty is perfect for leisurely activities, with pathways and forested trails offering scenic walks. Basina's beaches and those within walking distance feature large smooth rocks and smaller pebble beaches, providing shaded spots ideal for children. Exploring the shoreline leads to the bays of Mudri Dolac and Rosohotnica, both renowned for their clear waters and tranquil settings. For those willing to venture further, beaches accessible by car, such as Mirni Dolac and Maslinica Beach, offer more secluded spots perfect for half-day outings. Beyond beach activities, the region is in close proximity to places like the UNESCO-listed Stari Grad Plain, showcasing ancient agricultural landscapes. Nearby Vrboska provides sports activities, including diving and windsurfing, while Jelsa offers a lively atmosphere with bars, art galleries, and more. Dining in Basina is centered around the local eatery Kod Rusota, with additional options available in the surrounding towns.
