Via Ferrata Hvar was created out of a passion for climbing, hiking, and the natural beauty of Hvar Island. Constructed by experienced climber Miroslav Stec, he and his team spent countless hours making an unforgettable experience both pleasant and safe.
This guided Via Ferrata tour is designed to provide both novice and experienced adventurers with a memorable climbing experience. You’ll be guided by expert instructors who will ensure your safety while you traverse stunning mountain routes equipped with fixed cables, ladders, and iron rungs.
What to expect
You will begin with a thorough safety briefing and equipment check. Your guides will explain the techniques and safety measures to ensure a smooth and secure climb.
There are currently three via ferratas. The Via Avalon starts closer to the Cave of Sveta Nedjelja and is the most straightforward. The more exposed Via Mirko has an 80-metre long vertical section. The third ferrata, Via Barbara, includes more moderate terrain to reach it and is equipped with steel cables in the sections requiring them.
After your climb, unwind and take in the serene beauty of Hvar. The crystal clear Adriatic below awaits you! While you’re at Cliffbase, why not reward your hard efforts with wine tasting in a private cellar, followed by a hearty lunch?

- This Experience requires favourable weather conditions. If it is cancelled due to poor weather, you’ll be given the option to reschedule for another date or receive a full refund.
- If the temperature at the elevation of the bridge exceeds 27°C, the duration of the Experience will be shortened.
- All participants must be in good physical condition and without a fear of heights.
- Transfers to and from your villa are subject to additional cost.
Terms
For bookings of this Experience made more than 60 days in advance of your arrival date at your villa, the following conditions apply:
- A booking deposit of 50% of the total booking price (including all fees and taxes) is due for payment at the time of reservation.
- The remaining balance payment of 50% of the total booking price (including all fees and taxes) is due for payment no later than 60 days before your arrival date at your villa.
For bookings of this Experience made 60 days or less in advance of your arrival date at your villa, the following conditions apply:
- Payment of 100% of the total booking price (including all fees and taxes) is due for payment at the time of reservation.
